Goodwin averaged 12.0 points, 8.5 boards, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals in the Tigers’ wins over Ohio and Austin Peay. He shot 66.7 percent from floor and 72.7 percent from the free-thrown line. In Wednesday’s win over Ohio, Goodwin nearly posted a second-straight double-double with a 20-point, nine-board performance. He scored the Tigers’ first 10 points of the second half to extend a 36-28 halftime lead against the Bobcats to 46-34. Against Austin Peay, Goodwin grabbed eight rebounds, dished out a season-high five assists and tied a season best with four steals. This is his first C-USA Freshman of the Week honor.
